Mazen Maarouf (f. 1978) er palestínskt ljóðskáld og rithöfundur. Fjölskylda hans flúði Palestínu árið 1948 og hann hefur lengst af búið í Líbanon þar sem hann ólst upp, gekk í skóla og starfaði. Ljóð eftir Mazen hafa verið þýdd á fjölda tungumála. Þau hafa birst í tímaritum og safnritum í Frakklandi, Skotlandi, á Íslandi, í Svíþjóð, Kína og Möltu.
Mazen er gestarithöfundur í Reykjavík á vegum Reykjavíkurborgar og ICORN, International Cities of Refuge.
Nýasta ljóðbók hans “An Angel Suspended On The Clothesline” (Ed. Dar Riad-Al-Rayyes – Beirut) var gefin út í byrjun janúar 2012.

Mazen Maarouf (born 1978) is a Palestinian poet and writer. He has lived all his life as a Palestinian refugee in Lebanon and was granted sanctuary in Reykjavík through the International Cities of Refuge Network, or ICORN. His three books of poetry are:“An Angel Suspended On The Clothesline” (Beirut, 2012), “The Camera Doesn’t Capture Birds” (1st edition 2004, 2nd edition 2010) and “Our Grief Resembles Bread”(Beirut, 2000). He took part in several internatrional poetry readings in Lebanon, Scotland and France. His poetry has been translated in English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, Maltese and lately Icelandic and Chinese. Mazen Maarouf is now a writer in residency in (Iceland).
